Canadian prime minister allegedly the target

TORONTO, Ontario (CNN) -- Prosecutors allege that one of the terrorism suspects arrested in Canada last week wanted "to behead the prime minister," a defense lawyer said Tuesday.

I don't know if it means anything. Probably not, maybe Bush was in office in 2000. Oh geez, I don't know.

Bush was in office just short of 8 months on 9/11.

Scary stuff.

Good thing they catch some of the terrorists and find out who they are/which ones are terrorists.

Maybe it'll be a wakeup call for the Canadian Government.... maybe.

The scary part is that they are spreading all over the world in massive numbers.

Not only did they want to behead the Prime Minister of Canada... but among other things they wanted to:-

1. Blow up the Toronto Stock Exchange in downtown Toronto. Not only would this create a incalcuable loss of life (for this is one of the busiest areas in the city and thousaands of people walk along the sidewalks nearby at any given time), but it would cause a huge economic impact..for this is Canada's largest stock exchange office.

2. Attack the CN Tower, the world's tallest free standing structure at 1815 feet. Not only is it a building at the center of tourism in Toronto...but it is an important telecommunications hub.

3. Attack Ottawa's Parliament buildings...and take politicians hostage.

4. Blow up the CSIS Building in Downtown Toronto, Canada's spy agency.

5. Attempt to storm and take over Canada's national television station, CBC headquarters in downtown Toronto.

6. Attempt to take down power grids.

All so chilling, it boggles the mind.

I think if this had happened on the scale that the reports say, it would have been worse than 9/11. Not only the death toll, but the economic impact(it probably would have crashed the Canadian stock exchange), and caused the U.S. and other Global markets to have a huge drop, plus the mental impact on the people in Canada.

It seems to me that Soviet Communism was a more formidible foe because they knew how to work in the background to win over public support in the west. These Islamofascists are so in your face that they turn everyone off. Sure they are dedicated to their cause, but their cause is so revolting that few people will support them.

Extreme religion really is the norm these days, and it has been in the past. It seems it will never end (and it surely never will, unfortunately).
