How many remote controls do you have in your house? Do you have some in your drawers that you could be using too that you choose not to.

You may be surprised.... You may have a lot more than you think.

Only name those that you are or could be using. Not to items you have gotten rid of.

3, one came with the digital cable box, one came with the HD TV and one came with the Xbox 360 (which the hubby uses for a DVD player), the hubby uses all of these, I'm always working so I never watch any of this.

DRV/cable box, VCR, DVD, TV, a universal remote, and also have a cam corder remote sitting with the others by the TV. So I guess thats 6. I maily use the DVR/cable box remote it will control up to 6 things, but you need the orignal remote for the devices sometimes so I have to keep them around. I need to get a nice little basket to put them all in really. They just kinda lay about.

Same here... I gotta keep a fold-out table to keep 'em all on, because it's hell trying to find the one you're looking for when it's not there.

I couldn't even begin to count the number of remotes we have. OMG, too many. Most are electronic but a few are for remote control cars too (youngest daughter went thru a tomboy stage). We even have remotes to TV's we no longer own (I suspect). Yes, we are pack rats but that's a long term habit I'm breaking this summer!

We had a remote basket for a while but it fell apart. LOL

One nice remote never worked right again after one of my daughters dropped it in a bucket of water. I was cleaning the carpet from a soda pop spill, the bucket sitting next to the coffee table with remote on top. One thing led to another and in the bucket it went. We fished it out, removed the batteries, blow dryed but hubby knew better...."what happened?".....yes he just loves it when we do things like this.

One annoying habit my oldest daughter has is to snap and unsnap the back of remote (where batteries go). Over and over again. And now a few remotes have tape on them, she broke off the small piece of plastic keeping the cover on. Ugh. She does this to her cell phone, over and over again, flip open, flip closed. Habits! Ugh!
