Did anyone watch the Dateline NBC interview with Britney?

I found it only by flipping through the channels last night so I did watch it. I'm not a big fan of Britney but I was interested on what topics they were going to touch on. First, is it just me or did she look completely awful? I know she's pg but the "too blond" hair, the loads of makeup and the nappy hair just made her look like a flusy. Also, the top she had on was so low cut. I've never seen her look so bad before.

She kept saying how happy she was but her body language was the opposite. This did not look like a happy woman. She seemed spacey and ditzy through much of the interview.

If you watched it, what was your impression of her at this point?

Britney...you can take the girl out of the trailer but you can't take the trailer out of the girl.

*It is not my intent to offend anyone with this statement.

I just would not watch an interview with her. She has nothing to offer as far as intelligence or class. She has a long way to grow up and become a lady.

I watched and found it to be a very dull interview. Her explanation for the whole baby-in-lap thing was weak. Rather than just owning up to it being a bad decision, her excuse was -- My daddy rode with me in his lap and I'm fine. Well, some people have been shot in the head and are just fine.

And the crying over photographers was a little much. If she really wanted the paparazzi to leave her alone, it would help to disappear from the public eye. Appearing on prime time network television isn't the way to do that. You either get fame or privacy, not both. If she moved back to Louisiana and stopped making public statements and appearances, the media would lose interest in her very quickly.

I didn't watch it at all. I can't stand her. She needs to grow up and be a good role model for her children. The role model she is now is totally inappropriate.

Yes, I agree. Every woman regardless of career and age should be a good role model.

I watched, and my opinion of her changed just a bit. I don't think she's a good role model, but I also don't think she's the worst mother ever. I do agree that the baby in the lap excuse was lame, but I do think she geniunely cares for him, and wouldn't do anything purposely to hurt him. I do think some of the tabloid reports were overblown, especially regarding her marriage with Kevin.

She was also asked if she was worried that Kevin would leave her since she is pregnant because Kevin left his ex girlfriend when she was 6m. pregant and she said no, but anything can happen.

I dunno, I didnt watch it, but I saw the previews, and I think she is a very good actress....She wants people to feel bad for her for whatever reasons... I sick of hearing about her and the baby on the lap incident... To be honest, I have seen babies on the laps of their parents in the car, and just because they arent famous, people dont care... I have driven with my baby on my lap to run to the store... Not a big deal...

It would take only a minor collision to cause serious injury to your child if she is riding in your lap. PLEASE use a child safety seat and be sure it is installed properly.

helen, i wasnt aware you even had kids...

and it's entirely irresponsible for any parent to hold a child in their laps in a car. it isnt illegal to make it inconvenient, it's DANGEROUS! havent you ever heard that a large majority of car crashes occur within a few miles of home? think again before you put your child at risk of flying through the windshield. and dont think it's cool or acceptable just because Britney does it. she's about as dumb as they come and i hope you aspire to a higher goal than that.

britney is a cool mom

GASP, please tell me you were being sarcastic! There is nothing *cool* about endangering your child's life. If that's what someone considers cool, then their mind is warped. My kids can't even sit in the front seat until they are 12. As a parent, it is our job to look out for their safety and protect them since they cannot do it themselves. Britney has made many mistakes with this child, I sure hope she straightens up before the next one comes along. And that crap about it's only because cameras are on her, NO, my babies never fell from a high chair (that's what the safety straps are for!), my babies never sat on anyone's lap in the front of a car with airbags, my babies never sat in a front facing carseat when they were too small for it to adequately protect them. Call me anal, but when you are a mom, you'll know what I mean.
