I thought maybe we could help each other steer clear of absolutely awful movies.
My advice is to avoid The Pink Panther. OMG, it's horrible.

"Hostel", "The Devil's Rejects", and "See No Evil"
Too much gore.

I'm probably going to cause an argument - but I absolutely HATED the new "King Kong."
I mean, really - that movie could've been two hours maximum. But noooo... Peter Jackson has to have his trademark three-hour-deals. That movie is exhausting after the first two hours, certainly.

"Open Water" that shark movie!
The absolute most pointless torturous movie ever filmed. I couldn't believe it was over when the DVD ended, becuase in fact, it never really got started.
DON'T RENT IT IF YOU HAVEN'T FALLEN TRAP AS YET. You may have already, it is already a 3 year old movie.

Didn't know they did a remake of the Pink Panther... can't imagine anyone topping Sellers as Inspector Cluseau (sp?).

I have yet to see a remake of a movie that was anywhere as good as the original.

The Ring and The Blair Witch Project , are two of the top rated horror movies :S Wouldn't call them movies to avoid, although I didn't really find The Blair Witch Project that good, wasn't scary enough.. Ring is a good movie to watch if one enjoys horror

The Terminal I thought was a big let down. Nothing going on but walking around an airport...

Forgot about that. The sequel of that movie sucks even more.

The same could be said about The Ring II.
Also I concur that the original "The Ring" was a good thriller if you stayed with it. The sequel absolutely stunk.

I gotta admit, I like Scary Movie's version of some of those thriller films.

War of the Worlds. I was actually starting to go to sleep in the theatre. Never had that happen before. Boring!

The Scary Movie parodies were great IMO... but since this is about Movies to Avoid, I digress...
Napoleon Dynamite... sorry to you youngsters, but I thought this was lame, lame, LAME!

dont worry, to date, no one has topped Peter Sellers, not even Steve Martin.

Aw man, those Steve Martin Pink Panther ads look pathetic. Too bad, as Martin has been funny in the past. How about those ads for the movie with Robin Williams and his family in an RV or something? Urrgh!

We watched "Open Water" on PPV. What a complete and utter waste of $3.99! I keep seeing it in the $5 "previously viewed" Blockbuster bin and want to caution others as we stand in line for rentals - don't waste your money on that movie! As my hubby joked, if it wasn't for the brief you know what, it would have been dreadful. He said that was the only surprising part of the movie! I thought the ending was awful. You fully expected a hopeful one.
