Simple math.

When you take any two digit number and subtract the sum of its two digits from itself, you always end up with a number that is a multiple of 9. When you look at the chart, every multiple of 9 has the same symbol by it.

Yes it does.

Pick any two digit number. Subtract the sum of the two digits from your original number. The resulting number is always a multiple of 9.

Whoa... thats strange. It worked for my first number(55), and my second number the symbol was only one off.
