Where do you buy your clothes, Wal Mart, Kmart or Eddie Bauer etc? Living on the mountain, we HAVE NO CHOICE but to buy our clothing at Wally World

Kmarts clothes, you wash them once and they're dust rags the next day

I've heard *rumors* that Ross, Mervyns, Target could POSSIBLY be coming to the mountain, I mean shoot......we've got a Home Depot coming in 2 months WOOOOHOOOOOO

ANYWAYS....back the thread, when ever we go to Flagstaff, Gallup New Mexico, we will stop at Factory2U......yes, they sell a LOT of seconds BUT......when it comes to work clothes, tshirts, who cares? LOL!

I buy mostly from Kohl's. Everything is discounted! Can usually find something there. If I could afford it though, I'd buy most of my wardrobe from LL Bean and Lands' End. Just love those 2 catalogs. Next would be Eddie Bauer. I also like Target's clothing too.
I've been ordering online from catalogs for about a year now. LE is perfect for my tomboy daughter - rugged clothing. And knowing how picky she is (no girly looking clothes for her), it's worth it sometimes to order from LE.
FYI, did you know all of these online catalogs have sale pages? For example, LE has an overstock sale section. New items added every Wed. and Sat. One example, bought my swimsuit there for only $25, originally priced the season before at $62. The trick is to buy winter in summer, and vice versa. That's how you get the deals. My brother tipped me in on that one.

I like JC Penney. Kohl's to me is just an overpriced Wal-Mart. My daughter likes LL BEAN book packs and their chinos. Land's End is where I shop online for myself and am aware of the sales Mary!! lol. My son demands Abercrombie and Fitch (sheesh) so I drive to an outlet store in Gulfport, MS to buy his clothes. I can get that name brand fairly reasonable there. I also shop at Old Navy online. My daughter likes their soffie shorts and they always have them on sale.
Dennis, Target is the same as Wal-Mart except higher prices.

Most of the time, I shop at Kohls and sometimes Old Navy. We have a Jansport Outlet in Appleton, which is another favorite place of mine. I'm not really a Shopko, Target or Wally World Clothing person, but I'll shop there for other supplies.

OH YEAH.......thanks Lindaloo, I forgot about JC Pennys "LOL!" We have a small JC's here in town, I love their, um.....underwear, also shoes!
Speaking of shoes, do you buy no name shoes or name brands? I "WILL NOT" buy Nike.......I will not, nor will I ever support ANYTHING Nike puts out, now, I buy Reebok shoes, I have to spend the extra money due to my feet, after 20 years of standing on concrete, my feet are trashed!

I usually buy my clothes at Wal-Mart. At my size, most small stores such as Dollar General and Family Dollar don't have my size...at least any selection. Surprisingly, I've had the same problem at Target.
The big & tall store I've always bought my suits at...J & R Men's clothing is going out of business.

Actually, I like shopping at Kohl's and Burlington Coat Factory for my clothes. Target to me doesn't have a big selection and it seems more geared towards the younger crowd.

Thanks for reminding me. I also shop at The Burlington Coat Factory. They have excellent deals on clothes. I buy my bathroom accessories there as well. I found a leather coat at BCF for 80 bucks, regular price was 399. The only downside to that is we do not have one close by so when I go to Atlanta to see my sister (which is every other weekend) we go shopping there at BCF.
I am with you concerning Nike, Dennis. No NIKE comes into this house. I buy Reebok mainly. I usually find them on sale at
http://www.famousfootwear.com. They have pretty good sales there. Or go to
http://www.boscovs.com. I found a scooter there for my nephew for 9.99!! It is a good one too. Regular price is 99.99. Great, great deal on it.

I buy my clothes from a variety of locations. Usually Wal-Mart, JC Penney, and Sears. Online, however, I buy at Bass Pro Shops and Old Navy. I don't buy from Ab&F. because I detest their advertising campaign.

When I absolutely HAVE to buy clothes (can you tell I just looooooove to shop?? LOL!

), I will try to buy them for a low price. Wal-Mart is as good a place as any.

My Meg is a tom boy, she informs me that she will NOT where girlie clothes, she wants to be a boy.I have a dilly of a time buying her clothes.Old Navy is fine but they have to be bought in the boy section and I really don't like doing that, I have issues about it...LOL.. Land's End is perfect I never thought of them!!
thank you, thank you, thank you......I'm going to check out their website right now!!

I forgot clean about Old Navy - love that store!!!
Raine - I hear ya! Laura is the same exact way. We have to get T's at Old Navy, in the boys section. Every once in a while, I'll get her to at least walk thru the girls section. She'll zip thru there in 10 seconds - going ewww, nope, rolling the eyes the entire time!
I ordered something from Lands End a few years ago and they started sending me catalogs. Before Fall they'll send you a children'ts catalog. That's when I finally sat down with a thud and called out - Laura, this is your store! Come here!!! She loves the long utility pants in the girls section. No flares, no rhinestones, cut out hearts, etc. And the waistbands have elastic sewn inside. You can loosen them or tighten them up, with 3 settings! I sew and I thought that was just so smart to do in kids clothing. Good luck raine. She doesn't like everything at LE but can usually find something. We even got her swimsuit from there - tie dyed. Again, no flowery patterns. How did I get a tomboy? LOL
Finally, info for everyone: some selected Sears' stores now carry Lands' End clothing. Check it out sometime.

Well the Sears here in Pascagoula does not even sell paint anymore. Went in there last week and they informed me of it. I told them I would not be back. Sears is getting downright lowdown, in my opinion.

T J Maxx and Marshalls - gotta love those two stores. I like Old Navy too. I have to admit that the sales at Baby Gap are great for my little kiddles!!!!

I buy most of my clothes at Kohl's, which is rarely anyhow. I hate spending money on clothes. Just jeans and golf shirts for me.
And Goodwill for work clothes also.

I like Dillards, Foley's, Steinmart. I also can find some good clothes at decent prices at Stage. I buy at Walmart only if it is something I know I won't wear past one season since their clothes don't seem to last.
Shoes I buy at Shoe Station. Great shoes at great prices.
My daughter is the shopper. She loves Hollister (which is like A&F only less expensive), Express, The Limited. When she was younger many of her clothes came from Ltd. 2. I may have paid a little more but those clothes lasted forever, washed well and then I handed them down to a neighbor.

I usually got to Gabriel Brothers which is like a clothes reject store. If clothes dont pass quality inspections they go to Gabriel Brothers. I can get good deals on kids school clothes there. I also do alot of shopping at Goodwill for kids clothes.
