Have you ever been contacted out of the blue by an old flame? That person either emailed you or phoned you, etc.

I was contacted by my first love just out of the blue. Two weeks later he died.

Wow, maybe he knew he was sick and just wanted to talk to you before he passed.

Yeah, that happened to me this last December. My first really serious love (we were together for six years back in the 80's) called me out of the blue and wanted to get together since she was coming into town. Man was I a wreck for a long time after she left me ...
Anyway, turns out she was feeling me out about getting back together. There were a lot of years when I would have jumped at that (probably to my later regret). I actually really surprised myself by putting the damper on it. Guess maybe I have matured a little ...

Sure....several months ago I got an email from an old crush...He was a professional football qb, and now a college coach...I took my mom in law, kids and hubby to go see one of his games, and then hooked him up on a blind date with a good friend of mine at a later date...it was fun seeing him again...Theres lots of old crushes I'd love to see again...but not because of any lingering feelings....lol...I just love to see old friends and hear what they are up to!!!

Ooops, thought this was a thread about the Brins fire in Sedona.
Last time I saw an old flame of mine, she was surrounded not just by her family, but a whole flock of her kids. Unlike me, she looked so much older with all those teenagers around her! Of course that was about ten years ago, and I'm sure she looks a lot younger now that they kids have hopefully moved out!

All of my "old flames" are either dead, or dropped off the planet. Even the better "people-finders" have drawn a blank, or found obits on them.

i ran into an ex at the airport in Seattle. We realized what idiots we were for breaking up, but each of us had remarried and had children. We are friends to this day, but under our present circumstances, we wouldnt consider taking up where we left off.

My husband is my old flame.

Not too many serious flames before him since we have been together since we were 18. The one guy I did have a sorta serious relationship with before him I hope to god I never see again.

What a looser he was.

I have never been in a situation to see an old flame. Don't really want to either.

I talk to my ex girlfriend every now and then. Our breakup was rather bitter but after 3 years of not speaking we both at the same time decided to be adults and start speaking again. She is getting married this fall and im truly happy for her; I say this without sarcasm.
