I hate big purses so this wouldn't work well for me! I empty the change part of my wallet at least several times a week.
Now, MY mom's purse.......you'd find all sorts of items in it. You could probably make a meal out of what you'd find, tea bags, sugar and catsup packets, etc. Tissues, hand wipes, bandaids, hairnets/bobby pins, etc. It weighs almost 30 pounds! We joke with her it's a serious weapon.

I just never carry money. I just don't need it. When I go out shopping or something, John always pays for everything. I do use the bank card or my credit card when needed. I have a huge jar at home full of change that I save for Johns tolls, etc.

Gesh mama, that purse must be the black hole, lol! All my purses I used to carry were like that where I could never find anything, and always just through change, reciepts, and everything else in. But I went to a small purse and so glad I did. Everything just barley fits so everything stays organized and I can find it when I want it. The change part of my wallet gets stretched to heck though because I stuff it and stuff it and never spend it. And when I finally do empty it when I pick up my purse I think I have forgotten something, but actually its just alot lighter from all the change I just emptied.

We actually save all our change and right now have about 200 bucks from the last year or so.

My wife has found money that she didn't know she had numerous times. Like $20 in jacket pocket from the previous spring, $110 when she reluctantly cleaned out her purse, should have seen the look on her face.

I have found money too. Especially when coming home from a vacation or cruise. I would always tuck money away and forget it.

I find money my daughter loses and I keep it . She doesn't pay me enough to watch the grandson while she is working. Hyper active with anger management and other problems make this one child who is a lot of work to keep an eye on. When , he gets quiet, he is up to no good.

Almost every fall she finds money stashed away in either jackets, winter coats, or jeans.

Before my father passed away in 1988 he would tell my 2 brothers and I he had several thousand stashed away in his house. He was born in 1920 and didn't trust banks, not 100%. That mind-set you know. When we listed his house for sale we looked for the money but we never found it. We looked in the oddest places - inside floor registers, loose floor boards, etc. We divided up his furniture and things. In my house right now I have a few of his old pieces of furniture. And do you know how many times I've looked in the nooks and crannies, under drawers, etc? Nary a cent! I inherited my parents old living room end and coffee table set. It had seen better days and we finally got rid of it but right before we put it at the curb (someone took it), I flipped over all the drawers once more, turning the tables upside down. Yeah, my kids laughed at me but hey, what if I missed a few hundred? And YES I would have divided the money with my brothers.....
The point is we never found it and if what my dad said was true, someday a home owner in his old house will stumble upon it while perhaps remodeling!
Maybe it was meant to be this way - a real find for a stranger!
