Parents met in 1953...due to immigration glitches my mother was not able to come to the US until 1956. Got married in November that year. Marriage lasted 26 years till my mothers death in 1982.

We never dated. I'm the poster boy for avoiding pre-marital sex, if you can understand what I'm trying to say without actually saying it.

David thats a longggg time. Must take a lot of work and patience to make a marriage last that long. We all have our faults; and when we marry we get to live with our spouses faults, and vice versa, 24/7. Heck I cant even live with my own lol
Ditto for you too Kathy. Didnt want you to feel left out
Both of y'all raised fine kids with your spouses as well (from what I know based on what I read here). I wonder if being a parent is the biggest challenge of being married.

Both staying married and raising kids are huge challenges and take extreme committment and extreme cooperation and compromise. We've had our ups and downs like every couple, but it has been a wonderful run so far. Thanks for the kudos.
