DOUGLASVILLE -- Police say a winner of the popular reality show "Survivor" shot a dog twice with a bow and arrow.

During a bond hearing Wednesday in Douglas County court Brian Heidik told a judge he thought the dog was a coyote that has been harrassing his pets.

Police called to Heidik's house also charged him with battery and family violence.

After granting him a $6,000 bond, a judge ordered Heidik to stay away from his wife while he is out of jail.

The 34-year-old Heidik won a million dollars in the 2002 CBS show "survivor: Thailand".

Okay, you shoot at "something" (never a good idea - always be sure of the target AND what is beyond it), but to then fire a second time? The jerk obviously knew it was a puppy. This is the typical "tough guy" who has to beat on women, kids and small animals to secure his place in the world. Studies show that people who do this kind of stuff to animals have a strong chance of later doing it to humans as well. Stay tuned - we'll see this name again. :(
