I'm not surprised. Even though I've seen terrible reviews, I can't wait to see it. Loved the first one.

I saw it last night....my wife loved it but for me it was your typical "part 2 of 3" movie. It basically sets up the third. Don't get me wrong there were some funny moments but a lot of the one liners that hit in the first seemed to miss in this one. It didn't do justice to the first....but hopefully a not so good second will allow part three to be on a par with the first.

The highlight of the entire movie was the preview for Talladega Nights which for some reason had me laughing more than it should.

I think they are still filiming the third right now.....the ending to the second is just setting up number three.

Johnny Depp said he will do 7 films if he can. The good life in France is very expensive apparently: "Johnny said: "If they wanted me to do Pirates 7, I'd keep going. Captain Jack's a free spirit, like me. I love him."

Biggest opening weekend EVER. $132 million. Topped the old record from Superman by almost $18 million.

I loved the sequel... opening 'morning' on the ultra screen. The ending made me go 'What?!?' so it basically set up for the 3rd.

I will definitely go see it again!

That's amazing - I didn't expect Pirates 2 to do so well! I guess after the other disappointing summer movies something had to do incredibly well! I can see Spider-Man 3 doing insanely well next year though! :D

The all-time record was actually set by Spider Man not superman.

I saw this movie on Friday. It was just as good at the last one, but definitely left things open for a sequel. I never view this franchise as a triology though. So it was kind odd to see it end like that. I think this will be biggest grossing movie of the summer and maybe the year.
