Yep. All the cable news networks will and the broadcast networks probably will also.

As of right now for Monday (NWS forecast for the cape)

Monday:

Partly cloudy. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning...then scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the lower 90s. Southwest winds around 5 mph shifting to the northeast 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Chance of rain 30 percent.

****

So a slight chance in the AM hours.

Hopefully a FL landing...so it won't have to be flown "piggyback" from CA.

I wonder if it will be coming in from the right direction for us to hear the sonic boom here? Nothing like that sound. Hoping for a safe landing as well, I think they are being so cautious this time that everything will be just fine. :D

There was a place I found while googling sonic boom that had a recording but it was not so spectacular. Well I have had it wake me up in the morning before, and can't remeber how many times it scared the ba jesus out of me. It is very loud and shakes the walls in the house. It is actually 2 booms one right after the other. I also know we don't hear one everytime the shuttle comes in I know it has to come in from a certian angle or direction. I was trying to reasearch it some and have found nothing really about it yet. I just want to know if I can expect it on Mon. or not. I took for granted the shuttle lift offs and landings when they were happening all the time. Now I am all excited about it again. Watching it go up on the 4th was just amazing. If I find a good link with the recording on it I will pass it along.

Scroll to the bottom and click the link, not very impressive there. But in person it is hundreds time louder and you can feel it go through you, from vibrations. You have to hear one first hand to get the real deal.

I love the sonic boom I hope it lands in FL because it sounds like Santa Clause is landing on your roof.

Man it would be amazing to hear it. We watched it on tv as it was lifting off but the thrusters were so loud you couldn't make out the sonic boom. I've seen videos of military jets breaking it but i would still love to feal it first hand. Do they ever do it at airshows?
