I don't remember downtown Toronto ever being that big. Last time I had a birds eye view of it was 1998. It's grown so much I never noticed.

Those are awesome pics. I just hope you didn't swim at Hamilton Beach. They close that beach so much due to pollutants in the water.

I hope you had fun in Canada. We welcome you any time 8-) .

Great pics there. Really like the sunset/rise pics from July 13 and 20 - I love to capture the sun's rays in the photos, it just makes it so much better. And I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one that shoots pictures out of airplane windows  The only problem with mine is that the first thing the airplane passed (on my most recent flight) after takeoff was the Pentagon, and after I clicked a couple photos of that, I realized that taking pictures of the Pentagon from an airplane probably wasn't the best idea in the world . . .

I should probably post some of my pictures, I have a ton (403) of them from our just-ended trip to PA, as well as some from my Dallas trip a month ago . . . but I'm lazy, and that would take a lot of time. 8-)

It might cause problems in other countries but there are no restrictions on photographing Government Buildings and facilities from an airplane as long as it's a commercial flight in the US. Wouldn't want to try doing that in China though.

The smog in Toronto? That is normal... but if you really want to know where the smog comes from... it's the USA. If that isn't a political comment or not, there is an agreement with the Great Lake states to try to do what they can to limit the smog that they send up here. The winds or something carry it, though a lot comes from southern Ontario to.

Toronto is a very polluted city from what I have seen.

The smog seen from the airplane is what happens when you look at dirty air from an area with clean, crisp air.

Thats so scary.....for the people that live there! we really only get smog when there are fires!

I remember when i was in the US coming into kansas city from iowa.......there was a dome of brown in the horizon, over the city.....it was pretty cool to see cus ive never seen anything like it!

Love your pics especially the crepusculars in the sunsets section and airplane clouds!
