I got hit in the eye by a baseball as a kid. I saw stars and had a royal shiner.

You're lucky you didn't do more damage to your eye!

Got hit in the mouth my first time playing little league...didnt loose any teeth. Bleed real badly. Went on and had a really good career in little league. Ended up playing for 7 years.

Am I the only lucky one that doesn't get hit playing softball/baseball?

I didnt see it coming. This is how I found out I needed glasses. Saw the ball leave the pitchers hand...but didnt see it until it whacked me in the mouth.

LOL, maybe. Seems if you have played long enough we all get it adventually. I got hammered in the eye when the catcher not the pitcher was throwing the ball back to the pitcher. She had quite an arm too, I hit the ground and by the time the pitcher got to me my eye was swollen shut.

I got nailed right on the back bone during a practice, was standing in the batters box and the pitcher threw a fastball and it nailed me right on the backbone, couldnt of been a more perfect shot...that hurt like a mug...

Fortunately the eye socket is smaller than a baseball, so that didn't happen. A golf ball would be a different story. Ouch, I don't even want to think of that.
