The day after the wedding

Tomorrow my step daugher is getting married. I think that this is worse than my own wedding 16, or is it 17 years ago?
Anyway, everyone is excited, and all the decorations, clothes, etc. came in and fit. The beer is paid for. It seems that everything is ready. We paid cash for everything and I have $5 left.
I came up with an idea about what to do with all the balloons. I'm going to print out some mini announcements and tie them to the balloons. After the reception we're going to have a "balloon release." Maybe someone in a far away place will send congratulations. I hope that nobody sends me a citation for littering.

Ed - it's almost over. I'm proud of you for paying cash for everything - wow, I'm impressed! We went to an outdoor wedding once, as each guest walked into the park area where the wedding was to be held, you were handed a balloon. Later we all released them at once. I think the minister said something profound but I can't remember what he said!
My early congrats to the Bride & Groom and the parents (that's you). Try to relax now.......

!
Let us know how it all goes.

I think that they're going to have a hat or a basket for the bridal dance. I've seen that a lot around here too. (I think it should be $5 per minute or something like that)
It'll be interesting. There will be the mother and step father of the bride (me and my wife), the father of the bride with his new wife, the mother and step father of the groom, and the father of the groom with his new wife. Hopefully the father of the groom won't hit on the mother of the bride again. Also there will be a friend-of-the family with her daughter who is from a nephew who will be there with his wife.
One relative can't be there because he's in custody. One nephew is now out of jail and will be there, and a cousin of the groom is now off probation and can be there. At least the father of the brides son won't be there because THAT would be trouble. West Virginia doesn't own the rights to interesting families.
Maybe the beer wasn't a good idea.

This is starting to sound like a movie plot Ed - take notes! You could pitch this to Hollywood. That's a lot of couples but ya know what, it's amazing you all get along so well. It could be the other way - someone refusing to attend. Have fun and enjoy it!

Conrats once again.

Thats a good idea with the balloons, it will be interesting to see if anyone responds. I guess you have enough money left over maybe for a 6 pk of beer tonight.

Ed - you could moonlight as a bartender! Glad the wedding went so well. Are you all just exhausted today?
How did the balloon idea go?

It was raining and the kids wanted the balloons. No balloon release. We pulled down the balloons that we could reach, but some of them had really short ribbons on them and we couldn't get them down, even standing on a chair. I got a long stick and taped a pin on the end. I reached up there and popped 'em. It made quick work of them.
