Not one of "ours", but prayers needed!

I just received an E-mail from an old friend; her husband, a non-smoker, has been diagnosed with Stage IV (malignant-progressive) lung cancer. This is spreading throughout his bone structure, and his prognosis is terminal. She, her husband and their two teenage girls are planning a trip to FL soon...it may be the last one they take together.
Please, if you can take the time, send some prayers up for them?
Thanks...you're such good people!

A second E-mail just came, and she is SO grateful for any intercession! BTW, lift them up by name...he's Tom, and she's Gail...also called "Robin Hood" (a nickname I gave her 30 years ago, once a habit of mine with friends).

Robin Hood and Tom were mentioned in prayer here in Arizona (where it is now 116 at my house!). The prayer was said inside, but the message made the trip.

Bill, I pray the Lord will send his comfort and his healing hand to Tom and Gail.
The power of prayer is awsome, and even if I dont know this person, the Lord does and he hears our requests for help for others.

That is right Bill. Any friend of yours is a friend of ours. I recited St. Jude's Novena for Tom. And I also pray that God gives him the strength to have a good time in Florida!!!

I realise that this is a LOT to ask, but we have SO many people, here and abroad, who are in need of prayer..
Some of you will be attending Wednesday services; others might be able to contact their priests, or pastors, or "prayer warrior" groups in your communities.
If you have, and/or will take the opportunity, will you band as one before God for all the suffering, bereaved, frightened and needful people you've read about in these pages..some of whom have said nothing, but He knows..and are in need of Divine intercession and praise, as well.
Fires, storms, illnesses, plagues of all kinds are upon us...and we need Him more than ever.
Thanks for understanding,
Bill

God hears all of our prayers, and, I do believe that He
is listening to our prayers, no matter how eloquent or
simple that they may be. There IS power in prayer!
My prayers go out to Tom and Gail, Bill. May he Bless
them with His love!

Bill...we are approaching 500 participants on these pages..with perhaps 20% being the most active. Still, you are surely right that there are those who would like to trust, like to reach out, and have not found a way to do that. They are on the outside looking in...and would feel compromised or vulnerable if they enterred this room.
They are no less deserving of His attention and love...and as you say He intercedes on behalf of their needs and suffering.
You know of their pain and suffering..and loneliness, too. Yet you represent a light in an otherwise dark room. They are blessed simply by your own understanding of their plight.

"Robin Hood" wishes me to thank you in her stead for all the support!
She, Tom, and her daughters are leaving for Destin, FL, near Ft. Walton east of Pensacola, on the 25th; Tom wil be in a wheelchair to "tool around" with them.
She tells me that Tom is on palliative care only (reduction of pain), and the cancer seems to be attacking his joints; he's "out of it" most of the time, through the medication and sleep, when he gets it. He used to run a bicycle-tour business, and a conglomerate has offered to buy it soon...they are all avid bike touring people, and they will miss this activity.
Gail also said that Tom's time frame is marked in weeks, maybe months; she's at least hoping he will still be with us for Christmas.
Your prayers ARE appreciated...and she sends her blessings to each and every one of you.
