Watch out for this new type of Paypal scam, got it in my yahoo mail account even though I use a different account with Paypal.

here it is:

and i dont even have a paypal account!

I get tons of spam from PalPal frauds.

Do not open them the forward them to spoof@PayPal.com

PalPal does not send out emails regarding your account.

I forward all my eBay spam emails to spoof@ebay.com, and always receive a reply from eBay's SafeHarbor.

According to paypal an official email from them will include your name, not dear paypal client.

Strange that you mention this because a couple of days I got one for an email address that I don't use on paypal. I thought it sounded fishy so I deleted it before opening it. Between paypal and ebay I have gotten plenty of phish emails.

Yes that is correct mama. They DO send out emails regaurding you account occasionally. They will always address you by your Name, not Dear valued paypal customer. I get them all the time. I just permantley delete them. If there is one I think actually came from paypal I never follow the link they give me in my email, I ALWAYS go straight to the site and go into my account and check it that way, never follow links.

Thanks for the heads up Tstormwatcher, that is a new one to me. I would have just went to my paypal account by typing it into my browser and looked at my transactions. NEVER follow links given in emails about any accounts. Always go to the site and check your account the way you would without a link. Its safer that way.

I do this as well. Most of the time, the e-mails ask you to click "here" to access your account to "resolve the problem". YEAH RIGHT!!!
