Incase you didn't know, Animal Planet is airing the memorial tonight. I don't know if I can watch it. I mean, I want to, but don't know if I really want to go through those emotions and watch the sadness of his family. Anyone else?

We'll probably watch it, will be sad though.

Thanks Holly for mentioning this. Yes I will watch it, don't know if I will watch in real time, but I will definitley be recording it on the DVR and watch it when I have the free time. Thanks again for the heads up I did not know they were showing it tonight. BTW I always stop and watch the Croc. hunter/files when I am flipping by and see it playing. I find it healing to watch his shows now.

I watched it via the internet. Very very well put together service. Aussies have alot to be proud of. It was a celebration of his life, but it was hard to watch his little girl Bindi (8 yearsold) get up there like a brave little girl and do that speech, saying she had the best daddies in the whole wide world. Soo brave. Gotta feel nothing but love.

And his dad's speech was short but sad too, essentially he said that we shouldnt really mourn for Steve, for he is in a better place now.. but we should mourn for the animals who lost a true caretaker... and they lost a true friend...as did he

Oh and does anyone know what happened to Wes? Haven't seen or heard anything from him in quite a while?

That was alot harder to watch than I thought it would be. It was awesome, and so sad at the same time. I could not help but to shead tears at some points through-out the memorial and laugh out loud at others. They did a great job commemorating Steve.

Thanks for the reminder, Holly. I watched it. I used the rest of the Kleenex
box in my livingroom, on the end table. I squalled and bawled....squalled
and bawled...and Bindi was so very strong in her speech, like Justin said.

ya know whats truly sad...His legacy will only be carried on by his daugter and wife and that nobody else in the world will pick up where he left off.

Unfortunately, although I really wanted to watch, I wasn't sure what time it aired, so I missed it tonight. Too bad, unfortunately, as it undoubtedly would have been great to watch. Does anyone have a link to a replay online or know when it may be reaired? I'd really like to know.

I found this article..looks like Wes is still around.

Australia Zoo director Wes Mannion added: "I will remember Steve as my best mate. He was like my brother, my hero. I certainly have a piece of him (still with me) and I can offer that to the zoo. We've (staff) all got a piece of Steve in us and there's nothing we can do about that."

Terri did not talk, she just looked on from the side during the whole service, holding baby Bob. She was remarkably well composed, though she had on dark glasses.

i didnt watch it, but my husband did and it was loud enough that i couldnt help but hear some of it. he said it was one of the better memorial services he's ever seen.

I've seen parts of it on the news this morning.

Very good memorial service. The songs were very good and fit perfectly. It was hard to listen to Wes especially when his voice started to crack. Bindi was awesome. I can't think of too many 8 year olds who could stand in front of millions and say what she said and not start crying. His dad's speech was very sad. And the ending was very touching. Unfortunately, Animal Planet's current weakly schedule does not indicate the memorial will be replayed over the coming few days. May it be replayed again over coming weeks?

If it is shown again it is worth a watch. Very emotional yet amusing at times with all the clips of Steve falling out of boats etc. For me the most emotional part was when they drove his truck out...for some reason it was very final.

You know I don't know of many adults who could have spoken as well as little Bindi. She had so much emotion and love in her sweet little voice. It was heartbreaking.
