I can't believe he couldn't purchase a box of lancets, and he's truly not fit to teach if he didn't understand the ramifications of what he was doing.

That is beyond stupid in this day and age with all the publicity about blood transmission of diseases, especially deadly ones.

Suspended? Holy crap.

I would think this would be grounds for license revocation.

He definitely needs to get recertified if he's a science teacher. I once had an earth science teacher who was a coach, but they made them teach one course a year and the rest of the day they were PE coach's. He had no interest in the course at all. All he wanted to do was talk about Jalai. I loved earth science. The first thing he had me do was make copies of the tests, then he had me make up the tests, and by mid year I was giving assignments and teaching in front of the class. You might wonder why I did all this. He looked like Elvis!!!!!!!!!! What a crush I had.

I'm surprised the students went along with it. How many years have the schools supposedly been educating teens about the dangers of sharing needles, etc.? Looks like it's not just the three R's that aren't sinking in. Good grief...

Thanks Jen for bringing this up because I didn't think about the teenagers aspect of agreeing with this.
