Any Genealogy Researchers out there?

Just curious. I've been doing this off and on for many years and managed to debunk some family legends and clear up a few small skeletons in the closet. US research has become tremendously easy with the advent of the Internet and Ancestry.com has been an invaluable source for original documents. Where I'm having trouble is finding documentation of ancestors in the UK. Can anyone recommend a good web site or search service?

I did all that reseach on my past family, and it stopped when I got back as far as Europe and England.... My cousin had a membership with Ancestry.com, but it was for the US records, and if I wanted to go back farther into England and Europe I would have had to pay a boatload more for that... If anyone has any links, I would be interested as well, since my family tree is stumped!!

Whoa! Many thanks Cookie! I've copied the links into my Fav Places and will check them all out as time permits.
As for you Kevin.... ROFL! That's what genealogy research feels like after you've done it for even a few days.
