My quest continues to find an Elmo T.M.X. for my nephew. Apparently this is going to be like the Cabbage Patch doll frenzy. Has anyone else had luck in finding this little critter?!

I wish I had known early on about this crazy little guy. My first thought when I heard about it was "How could they improve?" I mean, the original TME was great (loved the giggle!). I wish I still had the one I had for a long time (still in the box). Gave it away to charity.
I saw the debut of TMX on GMA a couple of weeks ago -- thought I was going to die laughing!!! I especially love when he's on his side, curled up giggling, and when he's on his stomach, slapping the floor. It's hilarious!
Unless you're really ticklish, I just don't know if you'd get how great and realistic it is. He's adorable!
Good luck, Cindy! Ebay, maybe?

You can find them on Ebay Duckie - for $140. I guess I'm not ready to go there just yet. Toy R Us and Target told me to call on a daily basis to find out when they will get the next shipment. If I don't have any luck within the next few weeks, I will start considering Ebay. I just HAVE to get one of these for my little guy - he loves Elmo!
I saw Elmo T.M.X featured on Fox and Friends a few weeks ago - he is just too darned cute

About $ 50 CDN when they were in stock at our Wal Marts, Toys R Us, and Zellers stores (similiar to Target).
They are NOT in stock now though.

You can get them easily on eBay, but expect to pay at least $85. However, all major retailers are totally out of stock, both in-store and online. Any online stores that have them in stock are charging at least $90.
I suspect that some major stores are holding on to some for the day after Thanksgiving, so if you do want to pay regular price, you'll need to be in line by 2:00 AM.
If the TMX is as rare as the original, they'll be $500 by December.

They originally retailed for $39.99 USD.

Gosh at the price gouging.

If they go for 40 bucks then they should stay 40 bucks.

You'd think Linda. But people are buying them just to sell them at the gouging prices on Ebay. I know someone who said he was going to do that with the new Play Stations.

Wow I just got rid of an orginal a few months ago, along with an ABC elmo and another of the newer Elmos. The only one I kept was the Hoky Poky Elmo. I knew I should have kept the TME. Erverytime I went through all the kids stuffed animals(which is a ton of them) I always put him to the side and kept him. I finally had enough and got rid of like 2 lawn bags full of animals.
Good luck Sunny, I can't believe its been 10 years already.
