What's for dinner?

There's a bag of flounder filets in our freezer that has been in there for a long time and still sat there when everyone's complaining "There's nothing to eat." I've made up my mind to use up. How's this sound?:

Cook some bacon, add a small bag of shrimp, the flounder (cut up in small pieces) add some Marinara sauce and ziti pasta, bake in the oven, and top with shredded parmesan cheese.

Package of bacon: $4.99
Package of coctail shrimp: $3.99
Two jars of Marinara sauce: $4.50
Box of Pasta: $0.50
Bag of cheese: $3.79

Gegging rid of the flounder: Priceless.

Leftover gumbo from the pot i made last night which feed 12 people (9 19-23 year olds, me, my husband and my sons roomate who's a cop). Lol...they guys didn't feel too comfortable drinking beer in front of the cop (he was on duty but stopped by and ate)!

I'm not entirely certain, but it will be outside the house (I'm in Cincinnati for WWE's pay-per-view tonight).

A concoction my SIL served once:

Sauerkraut, chilled chilled is best
Turkey Smoked Sausage (or traditional smoked pork sausage), sliced into 2 inches diagonal slices
Carrots, peeled and sliced into 2 inch diagonal cuts or sliced fresh green beans
Canned new potatoes (whole) or raw new potatoes
Brown sugar to taste
Apple juice, chicken or vegetable broth (1/2 to 1 cup)
Whole cloves, handful
1 Bay leaf

Bring to a boil and simmer until all raw vegetables are tender. This meal goes good with corn bread and cottage cheese, with fresh sliced fruit such as pears or pineapple.

A good fall or winter meal! It might not sound so good at first, but it is delicious!

LOL, Ed, I was wondering how that went over - hey, the best recipes are
created by someone scratching their chin and saying, "Hmmmmm....?"

In keeping with the poultry and pasties line above :) :

We had an early dinner of grilled chicken breasts which had been marinated in Vidalia Onion Salad Dressing, lettuce-radicchio-tomato-carrot-yellow squash salad, a baked potato for Kurt and a baked sweet potato for me; apple pie will be later for dessert.
