SHhhhhh, what's that? Nothing you say? YUP....that's RIGHT, my telephone has NOT rang ONE time, not ONCE today/tonight. "Ahhhhhhh, peace and QUITE!" no more "Blah, blah, blah, so and so for the office of whatever wants YOUR vote, his/her opponent is a slimebag, he/she has had an affair with so and so and let me tell you, I'm a man/woman of my word, I PROMISE when I get to Washington, I WILL make a difference!"

Amen! Let the final results and votes (especially votes) speak for themselves.

I had 5 messages when I got home from work today and it was only 1:15 pm! All political ads. We had two more during dinner.
Of course now it's over......but last night Laura Bush called us! We're special....lol

I hung up on Laura and George as well. I got six calls between 9AM and noon and then none thereafter.

Steve - we hung up on Laura Bush too. Even though it was her voice, I have to clarify that. But honestly, even though we're proud Dem's, we hung up on them too. It was like an office around here - the phone was ringing every 2 or 3 minutes! I was tempted to take the phone off the hook. Wow, just realized that's an old saying.

The quiet is VERY welcome.
Now, if we can just get them to pick up all their signs from every street corner.

The signs will remain. In my community, there is one hired individual who's main job is to remove Yard Sale and Lost/Found signs stapled on telephone/electric poles. His only job! I'm sure they'll add these political signs to his duties....probably overtime. lol Hey, that wouldn't be a bad job unless it's pouring rain!

Here in Florida all political signs must be removed within a few days or the candidate faces major fines.

It's supposedly the same here gt; but somehow those darn things float around for weeks to months. Everyone gripes about it, but does anyone ever pitch in and pick up just one and throw it away? Of course not!
