Are you talking about the leaffooted bug? They're not even an inch long.

They all are stink bugs, the one he has a picture of that I see all around my house they are calling the squash stink bug. I have seen all sizes around my house from rolly polly size to scary big.

I have never seen one that big. Usually all I see are the small ones like in Fig 3.

Hmmmm.....it sure looks like some kind of "assassin bug" to me. They are a cousin to the stinkbug......but give a very painful bite. Here's some info that may help.......

I saw a bug like that last weekend. My 6-year-old cousin asked me what it was, and it looked familiar but I couldn't remember.

This site says it has no common name and is not a stinkbug. So I guess you can just call it "that big ugly bug thing."

Well the common name here in FL is a stink bug. :P

petal*pusher.......I hope they don't bite. I have never known one to bit. Just a few days ago my 4 YO sat a smaller one on her shirt and just hung around outside with it for an hour or so. Taking it off her shirt, petting it, and then her and her older sister got out a jar and make it a home. They named it Stinkey. Go figure.
I also find it funny that we call it a stink bug here and its from the family of a group of bugs named assassin bugs. :D

It is where I come from.

I have never seen a stink bug that looks like that one though.
