Dang! Y'all eat good stuff! I had some prosciutto because it was there in our little market- I'm stunned and had to buy it - and it was pretty bad.
Season, meaning stateside people coming back, is starting and I get all these emails from people coming down saying, what do you want us to bring you? They know we are pretty limited here...I can't say SUSHI to people I barely know - so to the Wisconsin people I say good cheese! To the NY'ers I say, the Sunday Times! (can't get it here at all - and in the VI's it's about 11 bucks for the Sunday NY Times). To most I say, I have no idea, surprise me, and they bring...hot sauce. Which I DON'T need...
Some friends are going to start a taco and burrito stand off their front porch (they are pretty new here and asked, what do you think a good business would be? and I told them BURRITOS! and they are from California and love good food, yippie!), so I can't wait for that to happen. And NO! they are not sandwiches...(but culturally, they really are, shhhhhh).
