Prayers needed for newborn baby

Saturday night at 10:02, Alexis Rose Baker was born weighing 8 lbs. 2 oz. in Mobile Alabama to Alicia Dawn Baker. Alicia is the daughter of my bosses, James and Kathi. Sunday morning the baby stopped breathing. She was moved to the intensive care unit. She has stopped breathing twice today and now is hooked to a bunch of tubes and other stuff.

It is terrible to see such a tiny sweet thing laying there hooked up to tubes.
A specialist has flown in from Atlanta and is trying to determine what is causing this.
Alexis needs all the prayers she can get.
Thanks everybody!

I've been in the situation before with my eldest sister. my sisters baby was 8lb 9oz. and full term. it stoped breathing 5 times in the first 48hrs and them all of the sudden was fine. i hope this is the fate of Alexis Rose Baker. good luck.

I'm going to say something that I said to one of my best friends about 10 days ago.
God doesn't keep some people in our lives forever. But, we should accept it, grieve, and then move on and go on with life. No matter how hard it is, we must let go of the little ones sometimes...if that's His will. Hopefully, however, it is His will that little Alexis will live, and I will pray that that is the case.
And yes, she has the support of a lot of people here at Storm2k, and I'm including those who will post their well wishes in the near future.

I'm not a religious person, but the girl and her family are in my thoughts. Good luck.

My cousin's baby did the same thing. She is now a tall, beautiful, healthy young lady in college.
It is terrifying for the parents, but better that it happened in the hospital instead of a day or two later when they first brought her home, when it probably would have been too late before they got help. They sent my cousin's baby home with a special monitor, and I believe they had to be CPR trained before they could bring her home also. They also had some sort of special set up with emergency services in the event of a power failure.
I am praying for this baby and for her parents!!

She is doing much better. I was just told I am her GodMother. I am just so happy about that.
