The gatherings with the grandparents are next Saturday. Doesn't look like much will happen on Christmas Day here.

For the first time in memory, we have NO plans this year. Hooray! No relatives to pacify, no friends, no mad rushing around the house putting a huge meal together. Not one darn thing. I am ever so happy! :cheesy:

I hope to survive the workweek with enough energy left over to...

prep the house for guests
bake 2 pies
fix a Christmas Eve turkey dinner feast complete with cheese souffle 8-)
enjoy my guests :P

... and not nod off at inopportune moments.

The company party is noonish this coming Friday, then I'm off work 'til the 28th! :bday:

I just need to get through this week before I start thinking about Christmas. Going to be in to work at 4:30 AM this week. Should be asleep now, but I just cannot get to sleep.

Get some Christmas shopping done on Saturday, go to church on Christmas Eve, then relax and unwind and spend time with my family...and hope I don't have to go anywhere on Christmas Night.

We will go to church Sunday night and then come home and open gifts. Then on Christmas day some of the family and a couple of people from church who have no family nearby are coming over. We will eat a big dinner and play some bingo!!! :ggreen:

Since all the parents are deceased now, I'll just make one turkey dinner (used to make 2)for the huby & me and stay home. We'll probaly got see his sister after Christmas, that's the only Christmas visit that we can do. It'll be nice & quiet:)

Sunday, church then visit to son-in-laws parents and grandparents. Monday, relax and enjoy. Tuesday drive home. I can't wait to be with family!!!!

Petal, you get to go a couple days before me!!!!!! Have a great trip. I can't wait till they invent that "beam me up Scottie" machine like they had in Startrek. It would be great to be "beamed" to Roanoke or Columbus in a matter of seconds!!!
