I will never forget him and Dan Akroyd in "Dr. Detroit". Laughed my butt off! That's how I'll remember him.

He was the soulful minister singing "Old Landmark" in the Blues Brothers film that
made Jake and Elwood see "The Light".

And, of course, his hit songs went on and on.

Definitely RIP, James!

As a GI I went to one of Jame's Brown's earliest concerts back in 1969. That was in Augusta, Georgia! I believe that may be his home town.

He opened for, of all other groups....the U.S. Army Field Band!!!

I will not forget that stark contrast!!!
