Does Saddam's execution mean higher terror threat at home?

I hadn't heard this thought but it would make sense to me. Is this a legitimate issue?

I guess it's possible, although I think there's a much bigger concern about a spike of violence in Iraq.

Right. There they have the organization, etc to accomplish that. I am referring to less organized but potential reaction by Hussein sympathizers here stateside.

Ba'athist have threatened to avenge Saddam's death with a lot of attack against the current government and foreign troops. I don't think the execution itself will cause a bigger threat to the US, since it's mostly the Shi'ites who think about attacking the US directly and not the Sunni's.

The hanging of Suddam Hussein has that biblical feel to it with its global after effects.
