Latest Information (~1PM ET) :
- male suspect now in custody in fatal Tacoma, WA school shooting
- student shot at Henry Foss High School between 7:15 and 7:30AM PST
- first day of classes after winter break was set to begin at 7:30AM
- no one else injured in what witnessess describe as a "targeted shooting, not random"
- St. Joseph's Hospital: male victim died en route to hospital
- number of 1700 students 'herded' into gymnasium for a time during lockdown
- school was declared secure by 8:30AM and classes have been cancelled

I really hate school shootings, as pretty much everyone does obviously.. when I was younger I lived in Arkansas and a family friend was killed in the Jonesboro, Arkansas school shootings in which several people were killed.. that's one of my first really bad memories.

School violence has become entirely TOO commonplace.

I can't imagine what hope there is for my grandchildren.
