This is great news because now the end is more close to Saddam if he is alive.

What a coincidence that this news happens in a day Jessica Lynch returns to her home.

We'll be there until we find the Ace of Spades.

That is great news! I still want DNA proof, but having the bodies positively identified is good.

So do I, but hopefully we gave the Iraqi people some more hope and it will help to lessen the individual attacks against our troops. It should help to boost our troop's morale as well.

The Iraqi people want photos of the bodies, but,
U.S. Gov is thinking they'll pacify them with DNA
test results. I wonder how that will go over with
the people?

Rainband... I believe that those two were initiating the attacks on our troops. Now that they are gone, I believe the attacks will be gone too.

From some of what I've heard, about 1/2 of the attacks are not by Saddam loyalists, but rather "Islamists" (Shi'ite?) desiring NO foreigners in Iraq, no "imposed" government, and an Islamic-based state...one typical of the area, with the civil and religious authority enmeshed into a single body (so much for the Kurds and Christians...).
How this fares in actuality is yet to be studied; it is clear, however, that the sooner we find Saddam himself (reportedly moved every ten hours with a bodyguard called "Ghosts"), the better off we will be.

The attacks won't be gone till we clear the rest of the vipers nest. Bill has a great point. Beside the resident snakes there are plenty of imported ones trying to stir up trouble. The only yjing we can do is stay focused and clear them out one by one....
Great news today though that we got two of the biggest snakes.. RIT (Rest in Torment!)

One other thing to consider here...it would be madness for us to leave Iraq without a stable government and economic infrastructure; to do that would simply allow the country to devolve into a three-way civil war, with massive bloodshed on all contending sides.
NOW is the time for the U.S. and U.K to bring in almost anyone we can get, to "relieve" us from the peacekeeping/police mission; my first choice would be Eastern European NATO troops, who have no particular axe to grind in the region, supported by, perhaps Egyptian and/or Jordanian troops until the Iraqis are able to pick up the ball themselves. No Turks, Iranians, Saudis, Syrians, French, Germans or Russians, please.
This would serve to defuse the anti-U.S. sentiment, and establish that elusive cachet of "legitimacy" the U.N. is continuously harping about.
