It's going to be HOT in Cancun, not mention the hurricane threat.

With that being said, I've stayed on the Rivieria Maya which is 45 minutes south of Cancun. I stayed at the Bahia Principe which was gorgeous. I can't imagine any of those all inclusives not being beautiful though. I went there in March, 2003 with some girlfriends and it was so relaxing.

Decisions, decisions!!!

Go to St Kitts in the West Indies. Stay at the Marriott on Frigate Bay. They do weddings and honeymoons. Full blown resort with all the goodies. Stay on the fourth or fifth floor of the main hotel with an ocean view. Get a suite. Trade winds coming in off the Atlantic are very comfortable. The wife and I visited this island recently. St Kitts is now on the top of our list of destinations. It's expensive. You could make the downpayment on a home with this trip.

I've always wanted to go to either Hawaii or St. Maarten for my honeymoon. Anywhere in the West Indies would be nice.

Where are the all-inclusives that you're considering, as that would make a big difference. We honeymooned in Cancun March '04, and I can recommend a great hotel....we booked our whole trip (airfare, hotel) for once week through priceline.com and got an incredible deal (half price of anything else we were looking at.) We stayed at the Omni Hotel. It's on hotel row, but it's at the end so we were away from all the hubbub of spring break activity, but a short walk or ride up the street when we wanted to be in it.

There are a ton of neat things to do in Cancun, but I'd love to know the other places you're looking at, because it will be hot during July. While there is always a threat of 'canes from June-Nov., they don't normally hit that area till the peak (Aug-Oct.).... :)
