There isn't one, lol. I posted Fiji news in last season's thread.
I have NO excitement for the premiere tomorrow night and may not even watch(for the first time in 12 seasons?), will probably watch my favorite new show of the season Ugly Betty instead(which I have been really enjoying during the hiatus, and used to record it back when Survivor was on).

Bobbie Lee - I think you just started the new Survivor thread! You could edit your title...
I'm psyched too! There's a survivor from Cincinnati this time. Don't worry Karan, I'm not rooting for her, automatically I mean. I'll wait and see if she plays the game well. I usually tend to root for the men. I have no idea why either! Maybe the girls are too catty, interested in sun bathing usually.....anyway, bring on the Fiji!

Singapore delayed the broadcasting of Cook Islands by a couple of weeks (we normally get it same-day telecast!) due to racism worries, so Fiji's starting the week immediately after CI ended (last week!). We're finally back on schedule with the U.S... To think after watching seasons 2 through 12, I quit watching 13 (dubbed by the local broadsheet the "best Survivor ever") because it was delayed - bad mistake, judging from what I saw from the final four episodes.
Definitely looking forward to Friday night (my time)'s season premiere... can't wait to find out what "one of the most controversial decisions ever made by a Survivor" that was in the sneak preview during the Cook Islands reunion show is...
EDIT: Okay, it was
NOT a good idea to look at Mary's link

Hey, where is ever'body?
Who was the guy yap-yapping while the others were trying to sleep?
I think this is a slick beginning to the season.

Gotta feel sorry for Sylvia, though -- I knew something crummy was going to happen to her when she was chosen to divide the group into tribes and
obviously would be the "last man out." Poor dear -- those snakes were even up in that tower.

I thought it was a good beginning. Such a stark contrast between the two camps. We expected that didn't we? But a couch?!!! And silverware!!!
Still trying to find my fave and learn everyone's names.
I'm always sad when the first to go doesn't deserve it. Jessica did nothing to irritate her tribe.
The annoying talkative one reminded me of Cowboy's incessant blabbering. He won't last long if he keeps that up. And since he's the homeless contestant you'd think he'd do anything to stay in the game? He seems to need the money the most!
The Cincinnati contestant graduated from my township's high school. So I guess I need to root for her. I could have bumped into her at Kroger's or the Mall! She's older than my daughters so I'm not familiar with her family but since she's from my suburb, I feel compelled to root for Michelle. At least she wasn't annoying!
Karan - waiting to find my "Tom" this time.
What did you all think of Rocky? He was interesting!!! I cracked up when he told Jeff he has lots of nicknames. But "James" is too hard to remember....LOL!

I think I'm rooting for the Malaysian-American (the old guy, Yau-Man), just for the sake of him originally being from Southeast Asia.

I've watched on and off, but I have no interest this season. CBS couldn't even find one interesting thing from the entire season to put in the commercials, so I don't have any hope.
I thought their advertising campaign of showing scenes from previous seasons was pitiful.

Same here. The promos I thought sucked and the cast was "recruited". Enough said. The "giving one tribe everything and the other nothing" looks a lot like this season's Apprentice which has been horrible.
But apparently, a lot of people don't agree. It was almost on par with last season's premiere and won the timeslot.
The premiere of "Survivor: Fiji," 9.9/15, won the 8 p.m. hour for CBS. "Ugly Betty" delivered a 9.1/14 for ABC. NBC finished third with "My Name Is Earl," 6.1/9, and "The Office," 5.6/8. "'Til Death" and "The War at Home" put FOX in fourth, edging "Smallville," 2.8/4, on The CW.

I found out today that the annoying talkative one is from Wilmington!
Yes, I find Rocky interesting, too. He struck me as an earnest young man... so far.
More women than men this time? I'll be looking for some cat fights.
My co-worker isn't too keen on this season, either, and he's the one who got me hooked on this show in the first place! I'll continue watching. I've waited too long for my Survivor "fix" to back down now.

Boo? You mean gimpy......

Just like the one guy said, hes going to hurt himself home. I couldn't believe how he hurt himself one thing after another. And then proceeds to have the hammock break on him after all that. I was roflmao when that happened. Hopefully his bad body hurting luck is over now.
