STORM2K

I know we're all worried about TLC and Eric/Skywatch_NC but I've just decided to no longer be a pest. I've emailed both and in the past many other former wx pals (2SeamFastball, Keirstein, Angelheart, Bunch, Alicat, etc.) hopefully encouraging them to return to Storm2K. No reply. Oh I did get replies back from 2SeamFastball and Alicat but other than that, I no longer hear from these friends. And so I've just decided to let go. Pure and simple. They know where to find us - we'll still be here holding down the fort. And we can all think of them in a warm and loving way. But if they're bogged down with personal problems or work, well so be it. I can understand.

So this former pest is hanging up her Pest Hat!

I wouldn't call it your pest hat, lol. You're just a concerned friend trying to see what's going on. I understand why you feel the way you do. I'm sure I'd do the same thing. At least you tried. Can't say the same for them.

You've reached out to people that you wanted to chat with again. Some have returned such as Eric and I've seen 2 Seam. Hopefully, TLC will be able to check in sometime just to let us know her status. I don't think that you should consider yourself a pest - just a caring friend.

I joked that I was a pest yesterday but honestly I've reached out to them quite a bit thru the past 6 months or a year. And I just don't want to do it anymore. I'd like to think I'm not a pest, but I was joking I was!!!! Yes I am a caring friend but I think I just faced the fact that they want to be left alone. So that's what I'm going to do - leave them be. Still care but I'm stepping aside now.

Truth is...you (we) miss them! Nothing "pesty" about that.

Miss Mary.. at least I DID reply to you and came onboard after weeks of being pestered by you. lol. If they were true friends then they would at least acknowledge your emails of concern. I have always admired that about you Mary. You are strong willed and a very caring human being who does not deserve that type of treatment from ANYBODY. You did the right thing, don't worry about it.

If you sent email to Bunch's hotmail account then he will not get it. He no longer uses that addy. He just started a new job and is pre-occupied with that right now. I am in touch with him on occassion when he is not busy. lol.

As for 2seam (Toalba) he is busy, busy, busy during the baseball season. He is a scout and is always on the road.

As for Alley-oop (alicat) she does not have her own personal computer. She goes to the library. Just be patient with her, she replies LATE. lol.

I understand why maybe Tracy has not emailed, but there is no excuse for Lisa (angelheart) nor Keirsten. I gave up on them a long time ago.

Linda - YOU are my success story!!!! Yes indeedy, when I gave you the Storm2K link and said check it out, you most certainly did check it out!!! And look at you, 1288 posts acrued by now! You're leaving me in the dust.....LOL I guess I was just sort of hurt, but I'll survive. I mainly just wanted to convey to everyone that yes we miss these friends but maybe we just need to leave them be. That's all I was trying to say. Sometimes you just have to let go.

Oh Mary, Mary - you are just so sweet. I know how you feel - kinda dejected huh?? Well, don't feel that way. You are a great friend. Some of us have times in our lives where we just don't make the time for friends. I've done this many times and have always felt guilty about it.

Knowing you, you'll start missing the feel of that warm hat that you wear so well and start emailing again until you knock some sense into someone and get them to come onboard!!!!!!lol

Karan - thanks for the cyber hug, you didn't quite say it that way but that's how it felt. Don't worry I won't put that hat in the Goodwill bag.....just yet. LOL

OtherHD - well that's encouraging news. I saw bunch once in chat also. Maybe they prefer Chat over the boards? Thanks - that's nice to know angel was around a bit.

Oh Hogwarsh Mary "LOL!" Your not being a pest, just concerned I'd say.....I too have tried to stay in touch with the *old school* but as you said, ppl do get tied down to the drudge of everyday life, whatever it maybe.......they are here in thought however.

We are all a family here and we just want to make sure that everyone in our "family" is OK. I do see Eric posting at other board...I truly think he just has a hard time keeping up here with his Aspergers Syndrome.

Well, it warms my heart to know such caring people. I'm part of the "second generation" or third or fourth, but I hope that someday I'll be missed if I don't come around for a while.
It is true. Sometimes you have to give people their space. Things are not always as they appear in cyber space. When people are ready, they will come back. If not, you just have to believe that they got caught up in their circumstances. Life is a journey, and your blessed if you have some good companions, but you do pass by quite a few people on the way.

Ed - you'd be missed! Once you're a Storm2K'er you're one of the family. Thanks Bill!!! Just felt like a pest this morning. Heck, one day I might be out of the loop too, for circumstances out of my control. You just never know what's around the next corner. Again, thanks everyone for your kind words but we can let this topic rest.
