Little Miss Sunshine made me cry, I hope the movie wins. It teaches such an important lesson in life.

Clint Eastwood did an outstanding job with Letters from Iwo Jima. If you have not seen this movie, you need to.

Couldn't agree more! I hope it wins as well. Not to take away from the other movies (of which I haven't seen yet). We're always behind on these things....LOL

Kelly - yeah and just try to rent one of the nominated movies at Blockbuster right now......LOL!!! I'm sure they're all checked out. Little Miss Sunshine was one of my family's requests, that kept getting passed by, by other movies that seemed more appealing. Then one night I couldn't really find anything I thought we'd all like (that is the hardest part of searching for a good rental!), so I grundgingly checked LMS. What a nice surprise it turned out to be! Our favorite character? The brother!

I don't think I've been to the movies since I saw "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" last summer.
I rarely go. I like watching them on the big screen, but I have my own big screen at home (a little smaller than the theater though ;) ) and I love being able to pause and get a drink or a snack or go to the restroom without missing anything. :P
I rent and buy a lot of DVD's.

Edit: I guess I'll have to rent that one, Miss Mary.

Same here Kelly. I so rarely go to the theater anymore. The last movie my daughter and I saw in the theater was You, Me & Dupree. Before that, it was Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith. Because well, it was a SW movie, best shown on the big screen, IMO, but here I was sobbing like a lunatic, over Darth Vader, of all movie characters! LOL That was the last time I made a spectacle of myself at the theater!

I prefer watching movies at home as well.

:uarrow:

I have not watched any theatrical movies this year(or last really for that matter). I need to subscribe to Netflix or something... so I don't really have any interest in who wins.

It was certainly worth my S$9 ticket (about USD 5.80), that's for sure.
