I used to pretty much have it marked on my calendar lol.. Now.. if I miss it.. I'm not at a total loss.. I like it.. But the thing that has turned me off about it, is that nobody's won the million..

There was already a topic about DOND a while ago but is now buried. I think the show is good but it isn't worth while to watch every show. It seems the luck is always the same; they knock out the 1 million dollar case early in the game.

I used to watch it all the time, but I haven't watched a full episode in months. I got tired of the concept.

I agree it's about time someone wins the million... do you think the show is scripted? There are some things that make me think it is....

Some parts defintely are... it's obvious.
I should mention that while I and others I know have gotten tired of the show, it still does very well in the ratings, especially on Mondays. Always wins the timeslot easily.

I watch it, but if I need to deal with something else, it doesn't bother me to miss it. IMO, it is prettyy obvious now when someone has a high amount in their case and should go on, but that may be me and wishful thinking though.

Ah, another terrible Dutch television show is successful in the US? Are the questions in the US version also way too easy and are some parts also obviously faked?

I don't think we're talking about the same program. They aren't any questions in Deal or No Deal. Just random guessing of numbers.
Personally, I like the Filipino DOND MUCH better than the US version. It isn't as corny and the Filipino version seems more "personal". Plus there isn't all the over-dramatic junk with the dealer.

I believe it was 91,000.

I do not believe that game or quiz shows can be scripted in the USA
Congress got involved in the 1950's as many of the quiz shows were "scripted" in that certain contestants were given the questions and answers prior to the airing

I haven't watched Deal or No Deal in a while. I think they oversaturated the airwaves with it a la Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.

The players had horrible luck as usual. I knew the last guy should have not taken the $81,000 and kept going. I doubt they would have gone all the way to get the million but I think he could have gotten at least triple what he got. I knew they were going to hype this up for no reason.
