[font=Arial]Explosion rocks Parker County digging site
WEATHERFORD, Texas (WFAA ABC 8) - Parker County authorities were working Monday to locate several workers who were present when a gas line under construction exploded, sending a large plume of smoke into the sky.
Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said the accident happened as some workers were laying a pipeline in a rural area west of FM 730 and North Lake Drive near Lake Weatherford.
"A backhoe operator struck another pipeline and ruptured it, and it ignited," Sheriff Fowler said. “We’re still trying to get a head count on the employees. People are scattered in every direction.”
