thanks for posting that, everybody should get a chance to view that video. I saw it last week on CNN.
it was so touching really. I know what its like to be away from your family for a *LOOOONG * time, so I know how this feels.
Such a good story.

I never understood why millions of other people should also see such an emotional and personal moment.

I think its great they shared that moment with millions. I bet almost everyone of them got a great feeling from watching it, I know I did. :D

I dont think most people understand what it is like during that 7 months either ;) My dad went to Kuwait for 8 months, as a civilian contrator (meaning he volenteered) and that 8 months was tough. If I remember correctly, the first 3 years of my life, my dad was gone over 60% of it on deployments.
