Raleigh — Authorities are investigating an accident involving a tanker that crashed into a CVS pharmacy in Raleigh.

The accident occurred at around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Glenwood Avenue and Millbrook Road.

Police said the driver of the tanker went inside the Shell station on Glenwood Avenue when somehow the vehicle slipped out of gear and rolled across the street into the drug store.

Authorities were alerted to the accident when the store's burglar alarm went off.

There was no one in the store at the time of the accident. There are no reports of any injuries.

There was no structural damage to the tanker. The accident is currently under investigation.

From the comment section before it became totally off-topic:

Regarding whether people will be able to recover their film and presciptions from the damaged CVS:

Why are there so many posts about the film? Is somebody worried about what is on this film? What about all those poor pink and yellow peep chicks and rabbits? Does anybody care about them? Not to mention the stuffed bears, dogs and bunnies...oh, this is such a sad situation. We must all leave now and go to CVS and try to help them!!!!!!

*snicker* I promise it doesn't. Don't forget, we have the cheerleader-killing moms, wives who run over their husbands, mute crossdressing neighbors who dismember their neighbors, boyfriends who dismember and grill their ex-girlfriends, and a slew of crazy cults.

I edited the post above to put a link to the story. Sorry about that.

I drove by the CVS this evening. Nice hole in the building. :) I am still trying to figure out how the tanker crossed Glenwood Ave. Glenwood Ave. is divided 6-lane road. The Shell station is on the other side of Glenwood.

Seriously, it could have been worse. The tanker could have exploded. While the store wasn't open, there is a 24/7 Kinko's next door and McDonald's across the street.
