Put Your Phone Number Into Google And See What Happens

It seems, according to
this, that if you type someone's phone number into the search field at Google.com, you can get info including that person's name and directions to their residence! (Sort of like a reverse phone directory on steroids!)
If you don't want that info available to everyone on the Net, you need to opt out.

I just got the website of a recycling company that has the same number in a different area code.

Thanks for the heads up abajan. I took mine off the list because my kids give my number out left and right.
Im sure there are other ways and sites where people can track you down, but taking one of them away is always a good thing.

Fortunately, as a Vonage customer the information comes up incorrect for my address. No problem.

I only have a cell phone - no land line, so nothing comes up for me.
My parents' name and address comes up for their number, though.

That's the sort of thing that usually happens yes. Google is useful for finding what area an area code is though.
