For the FIRST time in my LIFE I've WON SOMETHING!!!

Safeway (grocery store) just remodeling their Pinetop store, needed a few things today, re grand opening in progress....bought more MILLER CHILL . checked out.....gave the cashier the money, receipt printed and she said, "Sir, you've just won a Ipod SHUFFLE"..thought, "Yeah right!" She gives me the receipt, points to a table with a stack of Ipods...says, "You've WON!" *I dropped dead on the spot*

I can't BELIEVE it....I've NEVER won ANYTHING, besides a tshirt on the radio once!

That's great - congratulations! I am jealous - I want to get one, but can't force myself to spend the money for something that isn't a necessity.

Now...since you have one, I've got a question or 2. How long does it take to charge the battery? I've had it plugged into the USB port for 5 hours and I still can't get it to play! Also...where do you download your music from, the iStore?

You download it from the store yes. It will load into the ipod next time you plug it into the computer.

As for the charge time, it never takes that long. Usually 30-120 minutes depending on how low the battery is. However when I just got it I remember it taking about 2 hours.

As for me being jealous because I had to pay for mine, it was a joke (Technically I didn't pay for it, it was a gift)

OK now Dennis, you have to be careful. If you start enjoying that music while out and about in that beautiful countryside of yours, you will begin to take on the characteristics of a tourist from here in the valley!

Ipods, like cell phones, can be habit forming!

As for music, download the iTunes software. The software will make it easier to put music on the Shuffle. As for music: you can rip your CDs using iTunes and put on the Shuffle or buy from the music store on iTunes.
