Ok, what kind of cars do you have? Any gas hogs...
We just have one car now, a Toyota... we love it, great on gas.

Gas hog is an understatement, we have a Dodge Ram Van with the biggest motor they make.
Hubby filled it up the other day and it took $97.00.
Thankfully I don't drive too far and that should last me a week and half to 2 weeks.

We have a 2005 Chrysler 300 which isn't too bad. About $40 to fill up and it lasts me 2 weeks. BUT, my husbands 2003 cargo van that he uses for his business, takes between $70 and $90 to fill up and that is at least once a week. We do have one other car a 1990 Camaro that normally would cost about $60 to fill up but it isn't running right now. Which in a way is a good thing
We have a friend that has a 2004 Dodge Ram Pickup Dually (sp?), he puts about 200 miles a day on that truck. He averages $500.00 a week on gas.

If I don't buy myself a little car this winter, I think I will buy a golf cart, gas, that holds 4. We are close to the beach and mall. I am leaning for the golf cart. They are popular here and good on gas. When we have company, we would use it daily.

I am just wondering what people will do if gas goes to $5 a gallon.
John always stops on the way home from work to pick up groceries. We try to keep our outings down.

Yes, we love the fact that our car is small and great on gas. We had a new Cadillac, but living on a small island, we find no need to get a bigger car or a more expensive one. It would be different if we drove from state to state and actually traveled. Our car is basically just to get John to work and shopping.

We have a monster gas guzzler, an '06 Ford F-350 Super Duty Crew Cab 4x4 (otherwise known as a 1 ton, dually)
Dh uses this as a work truck (welder) so it's kinda a necessity but sucks diesel pretty bad
I drive an 05 Chevy Impala that gets 26 miles per gallon which is great for being a larger comfortable car.

2006 Dodge 2500 with Cummins Diesel engine.
20.2 mpg in town
22+ on highway
$80.00 to fillup and about 550-600 miles per tank.
Diesel is the way to go if you have to pull anything.
PS. If I would get off my butt I could make bio-diesel for about 60-70 cents per gallon using waste veg. oil
My wife drives a chrysler 300c with a 5.7 hemi. She gets about 19-20 on hwy but about 16 in town.
