Hey, Dennis (azsnowman). Remember telling us about the "Strawberry Quick" drug on the "Cheese Drug" thread? Well, it has (unforunately) made its way to North Texas, and already, school districts are warning their kids and parents about it.

What a shame. Another drug for the kids. I wonder how they are getting into the country

Maybe they are made in labs in the US, homes, etc. They need a separate prison for all drug dealers and give them all life. Maybe that will get some of them on the outside someting to think about.

Huh ... pop rocks. That's an obvious case of marketing to little kids.
Disgusting.

Janice, the drugs ARE manufactured in the homes of your NEIGHBORS!! These drugs are NOT imported into the US, they are homegrown drugs!! It's SO bad everywhere, the labs are popping up everywhere...it's SO bad up here that we have a multiagency HAZMAT Meth Response Team...we are not allowed onto the scene of a lab, once it's discovered, we secure the scene, set up a safety zone 100 yds. away from the home and wait for the HAZMAT team to respond!

John is a chemist. He said during college it was a shame to see other chem students practicing with making home drugs. It was so stupid, if they got caught, they would have lost their careers forever. There are too many smart kids out there making stuff. I am sure these drugs are not all made by smart people, tho.

That's why I'm smart enough to know that drugs like these could mess anybody up in more ways than one.

Meth is manufactured right here in the US. So is Ecstacy. Most marijuana used here is grown here too.

Ya know what REALLY cracks me up? The FDA, DEA banned the sell of over the counter Suda Fed and such....has this stopped the production of meth? NO....it's only forced the manufactorers to buy it ON LINE in GREATER quanities. Did you know that you can buy it from Mexico in 55 gallon DRUMS and have it shipped to the US?
We, the PD's are supposed to be watch dogging the purchases of phusdofedern (sp)....h*ll, we don't have time to solve SERIOUS crimes let alone check every SINGLE person buying SudaFed for Crips sake!

You are preaching to the choir, brother. It really ticks me off to have to register to buy cold medicine.

You hear more media about recalling prescription drugs than getting these illegal drugs off the streets. Law enforcement, I am sure has their hands tied at times. They arrest them and they are out on the streets again. Drug dealers love the young teens for pushing drugs. If they get caught, they are completely free at 18. No hard time like adults. I am sure the law enforcement and police are sick of spending time on paperwork only to know they will probably be out before the paperwork is completed.

Allen ISD warns over strawberry-flavored meth
By JEFF BRADY / WFAA ABC 8
It's designed for the youngest possible users - elementary school kids who might like the flavor and the name.
That's why Allen ISD sent out a warning about 'Strawberry Quick.'
"We want parents to understand that we're aware of the problem in the area and we want them to be on the lookout for it, same as any other dangers for children," said Tim Carroll, an AISD spokesman.

Considering the "Cheese" drug epidemic, no other schools wanna take any chances.
