Classical, big-band, western swing or "Texas music", blues, and jazz, even a little zydeco and bluegrass.

80s Rock! I'm feel that GNR's "Sweet Child of Mine" is possibly the best song ever....

Slash's opening riff is killer.
Other fave bands include...Bon Jovi, Journey, AC/DC, and a few others.
I also listen to some modern pop, Christian rock (Third Day, Newsboys, etc), and even some classical stuff from time to time.

Jazz (the stuff you usually hear on NPR stations), Christian contemporary (more of the older groups from the 80s and 90s), and, recently, I know it sounds like I am a nerd (I am one), but I stumbled on this interesting site a couple weeks ago where you can listen to hundreds of news music packages. Some of those overtures are interesting to listen to when you get to listen to the WHOLE thing without the voiceovers!

I can listen to most anything, but what really gets me rocking are psychedelic, neopsychedelic, garage, garage punk, surf punk, and punk.
