An 11-year-old Alabama boy used a pistol to kill a wild hog that just may be the biggest pig ever found.

Jamison Stone's father says the hog his son killed weighed a 1,051 pounds and measured 9-feet-4 from the tip of its snout to the base of its tail. Think hams as big as car tires.

If the claims are accurate, Jamison's trophy boar would be bigger than Hogzilla, the famed wild hog that grew to seemingly mythical proportions after being killed in south Georgia in 2004.

Hogzilla originally was thought to weigh 1,000 pounds and measure 12 feet in length. National Geographic experts who unearthed its remains believe the animal actually weighed about 800 pounds and was 8 feet long.

After seeing the pig in person, taxidermist Jerry Cunningham told The Anniston Star it was "the biggest thing I'd ever seen ... it's huge."

I am not a gun aficiando, but I am amazed that any pistol could take that monster down, even with eight shots!! That pig is so big they could put wheels on it and drive it!!!

To bad they weren't able to do some research on it like how old and how they can get that big...Unbelievable that such large creature can still be able to roam in those areas.

Not that weird to find hogs like that like most people think, look at this article and pics:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monster_Pig

"Hogzilla is the name given to a wild hog that was shot and killed in Alapaha, Georgia, United States, on 17 June 2004 by Chris Griffin on Ken Holyoak's farm and hunting reserve. It was alleged to be 12 feet (3.6 meters) long and to weigh 1,000 pounds (450 kg). Originally it was considered a hoax.

Local newsmedia reported that on January 5th, 2007 a 1,100 pound (500 kg) hog was shot in Fayetteville, near Atlanta, Georgia. The shooter was William Corsey, who hung the specimen from a tree in his yard. Neighbors reported that the animal had been seen in the neighboorhood several times over the preceding days. Corsey said he hauled it to a truck weigh station, where he says the hog weighed in at 1,100 pounds. A spokesperson from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources said that large boars and feral hogs were common in South Georgia, but that no records are kept on them. The media latched on to the notion that this animal rivals the size of Hogzilla."

Bullets are the same size whether shot by an 11 year old or a 111 year old. However, the boy's markmanship and presence of mind are imprssive. Also, that is some "pistol" he is holding! I don't know guns at all, but that looks huge.
