Aha! I see you haven't lost your green thumb Dennis! Love those old varieties.

There's an old school in Toledo that the Rose Society has displayed a huge variety of old variety roses. The members visited lots of old estates in Monroe, Mi. and Toledo to get cuttings. I love meandering thru the gardens.

Thanks for sharing that beautiful old fella!.....Pam

VERY PRETTY! :D

I have several, some get infected with black spot more so than others due to the humidity. I have to spray them every 10 days or so.

Do they have a scent, Dennis?

Wow! What type of rose is that? It is an amazingly prolific bloomer! It puts my Knock-out, Carpet, and Floribunda roses to shame.

I have NO idea what so ever...it's a OLD climber I know that much!

We (out west) call 'em "Mormon" roses because the Mormon settlers that found these old towns brought them with them from the east coast back in the late 1800's!

Well, it is a beauty! Thanks for sharing the picture. I think I'll print it and hang it near my rose garden to give my plants motivation-- or embarass them into blooming more!
