Any new info.? I just got in and haven't had a chance to check the news websites.

Possibly, they are awaiting further developments or confirmation.

OK, here it is...Reuters reports that a tape was aired on Al-Arabiya, supposedly from Dr. Ayman Al-Zawahiri, second-in-command to Osama bin Laden. Al-Zawahiri stated that Al-Qaida is warning America against mistreating the prisoners being held at Guantanamo Bay, and further says that "what America has suffered is only the first skirmishes, and the real battle is still to come."

It should be of some note that Al-Qaida has this "thing" about anniversary dates, insofar as executing attacks...and 9-11-03 is coming up soon.

To prevent the use of non-visa stop-overs in the U.S., shuttle flights permitting this from abroad have been stopped, according to FoxNews.

They do Perry, and it doens't matter to them because they will become "martyrs".

Steph, that is what is scary about the whole thing is that they are ALL willing to die for a "cause" and what makes it worse is that the perpetrators will go down in history just like they plan too............

Well, thanks for keeping me informed. Nick is usually on in this house. Tell the kids all the time, I never know what is going on in the world. I grab the remote and tune into CNN for updates. They hate that. School starts in less than 3 weeks though - LOL.

All I can say to this story is we'll be ready this time. Never again we'll be caught off guard. No way.

Agreed. they will die for their cause.. Al Qaida seems to have major attacks every 2 to 3 years preceded by smaller attacks. Lets hope we have thown them off enough so they can't launch anything on the scale of 9/11

On the other hand...let's look at the Wahhabi-Islamic "recruiting" going on inside the US over the past ten-fifteen years or so, in inner-city storefront "mosques", prisons, etc...then imagine hundreds of small attacks on the Palestinian model, coordinated to occur on the same day, within the same hour, perhaps down to the minute all across the fruited plain.

"Can't happen"? Wrong...Al-Qaida already has a growing army of supporters INSIDE our borders, waiting for the "word".

Streetsolider. Agreed 100%. I am convinced that the 9/11 hijackers had a support network in this country that is still in place. I have a bad feeling that before this year is out another attack will occur in this country. I sure hope I am wrong

We haven't done anything to the Al Queda, they just want another excuse to blow up the US again!
