Clock ticking on Las Vegas Water Supply

The news coming from the Southern Nevada Water Authority Thursday about the valley's future water supply is worrisome. Unless we act quickly, there will be no water for hundreds of thousands of Las Vegas Valley residents in just three years.

They can postpone the inevitable if they turn the fountains off and drained the moats at the Casinos and require all Golf Courses to use treated effluent. Also, development management such as requiring developers to guarantee that a 100 year supply of water is available before they can build is needed. If Vegas doesn't take action to conserve and wisely use what water they have, then I have no sympathy for the residents.

I have to agree with you Steve. You can't "go tropical" in an area that was always dry to begin with. :roll:

Dang it Steve, you beat me to it :spam: I echo your feelings 100 fold :x I shouldn't say this but they deserve it. As you said, the golf courses, the fountains, the swimming pools, lucious lawns, hell, no wonder!
