Venturing Into the Mines of Uganda, in Search of the Marburg Virus

I have read that bats carry Marburg and Ebola, which are both Filoviruses. I would not be surprised if they carry those two horrible diseases.

That is interesting. (For people like myself who think viruses are cool, this is exciting.) I wonder if they are saying that the virus occurs naturally in bats or it jumped species (if it is not causing symptoms). If you hear about the results, let me know or post them.

I will keep you posted. I still think Ebola and Marburg are carried by insects. I have read that plants might harbor Ebola/Marburg. It's possible that bats pick it up from plants or insects.
