Do you go to the movie theater to watch a movie or like me......wait until it comes out on VHS or DVD?? I cannot tell you the last time I was at a movie theater I can't stand ppl talking, crying kids etc while I'm trying to watch a movie.....and to be real honest, I can't tell you the last time I watched a movie at home I just don't care that much about movies UNLESS it's a *good western*

I am not fond of movies, so rarely go to the movie theater, thus nor do I see many movies on video or DVD, (don't have a DVD player anyway).

Watch the movies on HBO, Cinemax, etc.
Very seldom do I rent a movie.

We do not go to the movie theater much...we usually watch them on VCR or DVD, because we do not have HBO or Cinemax.

I've been saying I was going to try out the new cinema at Arbor Place Mall....for nearly four years now, but haven't done it yet.

It's far too conveinent just to wait, rent the movie....and watch it in the comfort of my own home (I'm not much of a movie fan to begin with).

I pretty much wait for it to show up on HBO, Every once in awhile I rent a movie. Last time I went to the Theater I think horseback was the mode of transportaion:):)

I don't think many people (aside from David [David]) can say they have seen as few movies in the movie theater as I have.....

Twenty-five to thirty in my 26 years of life.

If it looks like it's gonna be really good, I love going to see a movie in the theater...especially on opening weekend.

Saw the very first matinee showing of Independence Day in a packed theater. It's hard to explain that feeling when everyone is of the same mindset at the same moment, feeling the same things -- the shock when US landmarks and New York were being destroyed and the jubilation when the alien ship was blown up. The whole theater erupted in cheers.

It was the same with Forrest Gump (which I'll admit is the last movie I went to see several times in a theater...I kept recommending it to people who would then ask me to go....again), Pearl Harbor (not a great flick, but I saw vets there who were crying along with the rest of us), and just this past weekend, Seabiscuit.

Now if it's a comedy or drama of the talking-on-and-on variety, I'd rather skip it and wait for video or cable broadcast.

And nothing comes close to movie popcorn.

I'm with AFLAC! If there is something we're dying to see we still go to the movies. LORD of The Rings comes to mind Other than that Blockbuster is our friend

My wife and I will probably go to the movies about 10 to 12 times a year - to see a movie that we just know is going to be great, or that multiple people have told us "This movie is wonderful, you have to go see it!!" For instance, a bunch of people that we know have raved about "Seabiscuit". So we went to see it last night. And it truly was a wonderful movie!!

Otherwise, we either rent a movie (a few times a year) or we wait for it to come out on cable.

We are real big with seeing movies on the opening night or weekend. If the movie is something we really want to see.

I guess we split it about 50/50 with theatre or renting a movie for the DVD player.

Now for the BIG question.........how many went to drive in movies??? Now if they were still around, I'd go in a heart beat......just something about a drive in I REALLY miss......could it be *fogging up the windows with your honey?* Naaaaaaa "LOL!

Hey Duck! I can't believe it but my wife and I went to opening day for Independence Day and Forrest Gump back in Illinois, too. Was that you sitting next to us? Packed theater. Buttered popcorn! Can't beat it.

We live in a part of Phoenix where 32 different screens are now within 10 minutes of the house. Most of them the new style with no one's head in the way in front of you.

Cost of a movie now is $8.50 most places, though, so we we hand pick what we want to go see.

Right now, though, we are caught up in renting "Band of Brothers" from HBO pictures. Just getting started in renting the series.

Dennis...August 15th the new western Open Range comes out. Looks good in the trailers...don't know if it will live up to its appeal, though. Costner, Duval, and Benning in it.

They have multiple screen outdoor here in Scottsdale that does pretty well...Five screens I think. Can't imagine making out in the back seat with a temperature of 100 degrees outside!

I have not been to a drivein movie since the original Bad News Bears!!!

a Drive-in movie in Tucson right off of Alvernon Way. I usually wait until the movie comes out on DVD before I watch it except for a few.

Home viewer here. Most definitely! When the kids were little we'd sometimes go to a movie that just came out - like the Lion King. Or they'll go see Harry Potter, etc. Today the girls are off to see Freaky Friday. But I prefer to stay home - the prices are just way too high! And forget soda's and popcorn. Yikes - it's highway robbery, if you ask me!

But watching movies at home leaves you quite literally in the dark. When I hear people talking about a great movie in the theaters, I make a mental note to rent it someday. And do I do just that? Nope! We are usually behind the times, never remembering what was THE big movie from the previous year. LOL

I had thought drive-ins were a dying breed, Well alrighty then........next trip to Tucson (as soon as it cools down, hmmmm that would be what, November "LOL!") I'll have to stop and give it a shot. Steve........kinda hard to fog up the windows in that kinda heat!
